Sur http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/hp.html, on trouve des informations
à propos des portables HP, et de ton modèle en particulier. Cependant,
pour ton modèle, les informations semblent dater un peu, vu les
versions des distributions qui ont été testées.

Pour ton modèle, voici ce que j'ai trouvé :

« VGA/LCD video out control key (<fn><f5>). The key does not work.
The VGA output is activated at boot time by the BIOS. You can plug a
CRT and it works, but with a low refresh rate. You cannot control the
refresh rate. »

Ça dit que la touche Fn+F5 ne marche pas et que la sortie VGA est
activée au démarrage de l'ordinateur. Il faut probablement que tu
démarres avec le vidéo-projecteur branché.

semble un peu contredire les informations précédentes, car ça dit la
chose suivante:

« Works by starting X as normal and then plugging in the external
monitor. Both LCD and CRT can be enabled at once and you can change the
settings with atitvout (for example, atitvout -f lc would activate both
LCD and CRT display). Note 1: you probably get blank screen on both CRT
and LCD if you have the CRT plugged in when the laptop boots and the
Video Display Device set to "auto" in BIOS. Note 2: I'm even more
confirmed that the flickering is due to incorrect video timings since
the possible flickering of my LCD does not show on the CRT at all! »

Voilà, donc deux pistes à tester.
